In today’s video, I talk about what excess skin is like, and I show the excess skin on my body 3 years after gastric bypass RNY surgery. Excess skin like this usually only happens after rapid massive weight loss, so don’t panic that you’ll get this after dropping 20lbs.
This video is not meant to debate the merits of gastric bypass. It’s not meant to be a plea for cash or pity. It is simply to show what I live with everyday. I get a lot of questions about it. A lot of staring and looks of disgust, too. But this is my body. And until I can save up ~$30,000 for the series of reconstructive surgeries this requires (very difficult while unemployed and paying off student loans), this is the body I have to live with. Insurance will not cover this for 99.9% of patients.

A golden tiger, golden tabby tiger or strawberry tiger is one with an extremely rare color variation caused by a recessive gene and is currently only found in captive tigers. Like the white tiger, it is a color form and not a separate species. In the case of the golden tiger, this is the wide band gene; while the white tiger is due to the color inhibitor (chinchilla) gene. There are currently believed to be fewer than 30 of these rare tigers in the world, but many more carriers of the gene.

We may put such things in our stories because in our world, such isn’t true. But the Sims themselves just don’t have that reaction.
